Jill has a wealth of experience. She has been freelancing for over 20 years, and is conscientious, deadline dedicated, pays attention to detail yet has a light, lively, very readable style. An imaginative and creative writer, she is a lateral thinker, adept at spotting fresh angles for stories and putting thoughts into words. Jill considers herself to be ethical, friendly, sympathetic and approachable, happy to undertake projects covering any subject matter. She has a sharp sense of humour, and is an accomplished punster.

She has worked as a staff writer, welder (Oxy-acetylene, CO2), an extra (trained by PHA and appearing on Bob and Rose, A & E, Mr Micawber, Cold Feet, Clocking Off, Coronation Street and an mobile ‘phone advert), a mystery shopper, groom, riding instructor, kennelmaid at a greyhound kennels, in a jeweller’s (has Retail Jeweller’s Diploma), tarot reader, dowsing, legal filing-clerk (personal injury/ind disease), and has also worked as a medical secretary at a G.P.'s surgery.

She speaks French, some Spanish, Portuguese, German and Greek, has studied reflexology and is currently learning astrology with the New Age Foundation.

Jill’s specialist areas are: Features, travel, ents/reviews, humour, animals (greyhounds and horses, in particular), women’s issues, children, alternative health, and new age therapies.

She has flown on a sky-dive simulator, commentated at Doncaster Racecourse, abseiled off a building, driven a lorry and ridden a camel.

Jill has also presented traffic and travel on drivetime for a local radio station.
